In an uncertain world, families are looking for ways in which to support their children and help them to develop skills to navigate a future in which technology is set to play a bigger part than ever before. Many experts agree that the best way to prepare young people is to ensure they have a rounded education encompassing science, technology and the arts with an emphasis on ensuring they have the soft skills to thrive in a rapidly changing environment. This balanced approach helps foster critical thinking, creativity, and emotional intelligence, which are essential for adapting to new challenges and opportunities.
Engaging in the arts provides a vital outlet for self-expression, and when children are part of an experienced theatre school, they also benefit from the community aspect which helps them find a safe space to be themselves.
As children across the country prepare to go back to school, there’s never been a better time to join the vibrant community at Razzamataz Theatre Schools. As we approach our 25th anniversary, we are excited to celebrate this significant milestone with our students, families, teachers, managers, and Principals and look back to see how we have shaped young people’s lives.
“Razzamataz has given Ella the confidence and drive to go for her dreams, the advice and resilience to keep going through the knockbacks while she auditioned, the kindness and support while she was being bullied at secondary school and skills that will be invaluable for her as she continues to work towards her dream of being a choreographer,” says Alyssia Ashurst, parent from Razzamataz Carlisle. “She has learned so much, not just skills for the industry but life skills about determination, work ethic, patience, teamwork, and kindness.”
This year is special for many reasons. Our three guiding principles – ensuring every child matters, fostering a thriving community, and promoting creativity and opportunity – continue to drive everything we do. In order to support our Razzamataz community, we continue to strive to offer special events, creating lasting memories for students and exceptional business opportunities for Principals.
This has been evidenced by heartwarming feedback from parents such as Louise Cox, whose daughter Lara attended Razzamataz Medway for fourteen years. “Lara had so many opportunities such as CBeebies filmed her at our home, she sung on the stage of the London Palladium, won the stage scholarship and also won Student of the Year. Razzamataz has given her confidence, has inspired her and challenged her. It’s also given her the chance to make new friends. Although she is now graduating, she is planning on working at a local Razzamataz while she attends university.”
Over the next ten years, the Head Office team have created a strategy to teach 20,000 children weekly, giving them not just performing arts training, but skills they will need to grow them into adaptable and resilient individuals, vital for whatever career they choose to go into.
With this in mind, we are excited to welcome new Principals and schools to the network and some exceptional events that support our whole family of team members, franchisees, students and families.
“Coming back to Razzamataz for existing students and welcoming new students is always an exciting time for our schools,” explains Denise Gosney, MD and Founder of Razzamataz. “This year in particular, we have numerous events that are planned to celebrate our incredible 25th anniversary and will feature special events, masterclasses and unique opportunities for both students and team members.”
Over the next six months, the Razzamataz team and students will be visiting Dubai for an enrichment trip and the head office team have been invited to attend GESS, one of the world’s largest education exhibitions with the intention to engage and inspire the future generation and educators, held at Dubai World Trade Centre.
We are also currently working on a brand refresh, in time for our 25th anniversary celebrations, which will be held at the Eiffel Tower in Paris and in the next few weeks, our teams will be attending a Creative Development Day to immerse themselves in the latest techniques, training and advice to guide our students to success. Interest in joining the Razzamataz franchise has never been higher as we move into the next stage of our development. We welcome franchisees from a wide range of backgrounds from teaching through to performers and fitness coaches, the flexibility of our offering appeals to busy parents and anyone wishing to go on an entrepreneurial journey with support from an experienced team.
