Colour choice has never been easier for HMG Paints’ distributors and customers thanks to the launch of their new ColourBase Colour Box.
The new paint colour identification tool presents over 2400 colour chips, displayed in chromatic order within 20 fan decks. The ColourBase Colour Box is a multi-function tool, in the sense that not only each colour has a chromatic code that identifies its position in the colour sequence, but it also corresponds to a colour existing on the market for reference.
HMG Paints innovative Unit Lite Colourants and ColourBase have been a key tool for the company and its nationwide distributor network for the last decade, and combined with the new ColourBase Colour Box, distributors can provide even more outstanding colour choice across a number of HMG systems.
The Manchester based, family owned business has invested over £150,000 into the colour box project, helping their distributor network add increased value and providing fast and easy colour identification, ensuring the right colour every time.
“Ever since 1930 HMG Paints have been obsessed with colour, we still even have our first ever colour formulation book in the archives, we truly understand it’s importance to the customer and the ColourBase Colour Box is a great new resource for our distributors and their customers” commented Danny Cleary, HMG Sales Director.
“Being available in a carry case means that representatives can match out on site and have depots produce the colour almost immediately across a number of HMG systems.”
As the UK’s largest independent paint manufacturer, HMG Paints Ltd rely on a loyal, countrywide distribution network to supply and service previously unreachable customers and expand the HMG Paints brand. New distributors are selected based upon their reputation, expertise, and local knowledge.
HMG’s ColourBase software boasts a library of over 200,000 different colour formulations, including RAL, BS, Pantone, NCS, OEM, commercial fleet, agricultural machinery and house colours. The database of colours is updated regularly online, ensuring all new shade formulations and base products are added, including those in the new ColourBase Colour Box. Colours are reproduced with a consistently accurate colour due to the first-class tinters. Furthermore, the quick turnaround of requested colour formulations offers customers a competitive advantage.
