Essex firm Sybron launches biodegradable nitrile gloves

Family run Essex firm Sybron, a leading UK supplier of cleaning, hygiene and catering products to the hospitality, education, healthcare and FM sectors, introduces biodegradable nitrile single use gloves to help the industry become more sustainable. As part of Sybron’s commitment to the environment, the business will be de-listing its standard latex and nitrile gloves.

Sybron’s bio-nitrile gloves are the same price as nitrile gloves and can be disposed of in general waste with a reduced environmental impact: they biodegrade by 81 per cent in 491 days. Available in four sizes and two colours, blue or black, they are powder-free, food approved and have a textured finish for improved grip.

Sybron bio-nitrile gloves are suitable for the healthcare, construction and utility, automotive, food manufacturing and preparation, janitorial & cleaning and FM sectors.

“As a forward-thinking and dynamic business, we work continually to enhance our product offering for customers,” says George Mason, Sales and Marketing Director of Sybron, which is based at Crammond Park in Harlow. “Nitrile and latex gloves inevitably end up in general waste. Sybron bio-nitrile gloves will make yet another category in our range more sustainable, helping customers to fulfil their environmental responsibilities.

“We offer supply chain continuity by importing these products directly from the manufacturers. The control and ownership of the supply chain creates a stable route to market and this launch marks another step forward for Sybron, enabling customers to enjoy guaranteed stock supply and price stability.

“Sybron is a family-owned business, focused on delivering quality at great value and creating long-standing partnerships with customers. Sybron’s Manageable Growth Strategy ensures we control all aspects of our business expansion and managing the supply chain falls in line with this approach.”
