The Plastic Bottles Company is celebrating 15 years in business, marking an exciting milestone for the family-run packaging supplier based in Ulverston, Cumbria.
What started as a small online venture selling leftover plastic bottles from Julie and Glenn Doherty’s acetone supply business has grown into one of the UK’s leading online suppliers of plastic bottles, jars, and caps. Today, the company supports businesses of all sizes across the UK and beyond with high-quality packaging, competitive pricing, and a service designed to make sourcing packaging simple.
Over the past 15 years, The Plastic Bottles Company has built a reputation for reliability, flexibility, and friendly customer service. Whether a customer needs a single bottle or large-scale bulk orders, the team is focused on helping businesses find the right packaging solution for their products.
The company has also significantly expanded its product range, now offering hundreds of bottles, jars, and closures used across industries including beauty and personal care, household products, car detailing, and pet care.
Recognising the environmental concerns around plastic packaging, the business also offers a growing range of more sustainable options, including recycled plastics and bottles made from Prevented Ocean Plastic.
Having once been a small business themselves, the team understands the challenges faced by growing brands. While the business was originally founded by Julie and her husband Glenn, it is now led by Julie alongside her daughter Olivia, as Warehouse & Quality Manager and Sales Director, Helen Vanroose-Brydon, forming a strong female-led leadership team.
