From bankruptcy and fallouts which threatened to end the family farm in 1999, fourth generation farmer, Carl Grimshaw explains how his father fought to keep the business to preserve financial security and a legacy for their family and future generations. Carl describes the growth of their successful visitor farm (last year attracting 220,000 visitors), doorstep deliveries and holiday accommodation, which support their dairy farming operation. He explains the power of utilising social media and the importance for them on taking care of their 130-strong team of full time and seasonal staff. During the film, Carl also reveals the strain that the Covid lockdown placed upon them and how it led to an almost unmanageable surge in demand for their delivery business.
