Swansway Group, a family owned business, has shown its enduring support for inclusive entertainment with a further donation to not-for-profit, Circus Starr.

Now in its fifth year of support, Swansway Group are continuing to help Circus Starr with their mission to transform, enrich and inspire the lives of children and families who need it most across the UK, through the magical art of circus performance. The group has today announced their latest donation to Circus Starr of an amazing £5,340.

The donation has been created through the group’s sales of Motability vehicles. For each vehicle sold on the Motability Scheme to a Motability customer, the group donates £20, which enables a child and their carer to attend and enjoy a circus show.

Swansway Group Director, David Smyth said,

“We are so pleased to see Circus Starr return with their tour this summer, and we know it will bring so much joy to so many families who may have really felt the pain of the last year or so not being able to get out and enjoy everyday life.“

Circus Starr are currently in the middle of their summer 2021 tour. This tour is being held indoors and will delight visitors with a fantastic array of circus talent from balancing skills to contortion.

All performances will be held inside and will follow the relevant government guidelines in place at the time. They will also have sanitising stations, one-way access in, and will be running at a much smaller capacity than usual.

“A lot of planning has gone into our summer tour and it is so lovely to see so many families coming along and enjoying seeing our performers doing what they do best once more.”

The Motability Scheme is open to anyone in receipt of higher rate mobility allowance (such as the Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment or the Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance). Recipients can exchange all or part of their allowance to lease a Motability car such as an SUV, saloon, hatchback or MPV across a wide range of vehicle makes.
