Driving force behind one of our network partners RfM Accountants, Paul Newsham recently disclosed that he had recorded an interview for The Leaders Council which would be broadcast as a podcast. The interview came about following RfM’s inclusion in The Parliamentary Review, after which Paul, as a partner, was invited to take part in a podcast series for The Leaders Council – an exclusive group of business leaders, founders, influencers and innovators who have a remit to celebrate and enhance the role of leadership across the UK.
The Parliamentary Review is a respected annual publication showcasing best practice across all sectors of UK industry. RfM was included in the Review as an example of best practice in the field of accountancy. The article shared the story behind RfM’s brand and ‘+ more’ ethos, the rapid growth of the group and the successful roll out of their new services including their Business Consulting and Legal Services.
The story resonated with the Rt Hon David Curry, Editor of The Parliamentary Review, and he then invited Paul, who is a driving force behind the business, to take part in a podcast on the subject of leadership. During Paul’s interview with podcast host Matthew O’Neill, Paul shared his views on leadership and the role it has played in his career to date. The full episode also includes an interview with Sir Geoff Hurst MBE.
Speaking about the podcast series, the Rt Hon David Blunkett, Chairman of The Leaders Council said, “I think the most informative element of each episode is the first part, where Matthew O’Neill is able to sit down with someone who really gets how their industry works and knows how to make their organisation tick. Someone who’s there, day in day out, working hard and inspiring others. That’s what leadership is all about.”

To be accepted, members must reflect the Leader’s Council Charter of Principles which requires them to share knowledge to benefit the wider community, be respectful to those they lead and do business with, forge partnerships with people of repute and make a positive impact where possible.
Paul can also call upon the Council for advice on all issues relating to leadership, and is entitled to commission articles and research on leadership topics that concern him.
