Yasmine Hunter and Izzy Whitehead will be speaking as Ambassadors for The Next Generation Network in an exclusive event, hosted by Sue Howorth on Thursday 28th February 2019 at the Exhibition Hall, Junction 36 Auction Centre.
The Next Generation Network was officially launched in October 2018 by founder of The Family Business Network, Sue Howorth at our flagship annual conference in Cumbria.
The Next Generation Network aims to help family businesses prepare for the future and address the wide-ranging challenges faced by the “new and current next generation” of family business owners.
Signposting, funding advice, work placements, private mentoring, peer to peer support, networking and events are just some of the support services offered by The Next Generation Network, which operates across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Cumbria, Lancashire and surrounding areas of the Northwest.
Founder, Sue Howorth said, “It’s really exciting and inspirational to be in a position to be able to help shape, support and build on the needs of future generations of family businesses. We’re particularly looking forward to running networking events and workshops where the next generation can come together in a safe and trusted peer to peer environment to learn from and share experiences with one another.”
“We will look to work in collaboration with different partners across the regions to ensure a diverse range of support and we are also delighted to announce Jacqui Jackson of Thomas Jardine & Co will be taking a key role in coordinating and delivering specific programmes designed for our next generation.”
The Next Generation Network seminar on Thursday 28th February will see topical discussions hosted by Sue Howorth, along with Q&A with ambassadors, Yasmine and Izzy who are both ‘next generation’ family members of their own family businesses, Grasmere Gingerbread and The Hawkshead Relish Company.
During the seminar a number of topics will be explored, including career and personal development planning, the effects of family dynamics within the business and at home and management of wealth transition in the business.
Yasmine and Izzy will also explain how they are taking on the role of ambassadors for the next generation network for the Northwest region and beyond, with the support of The Family Business Network Ltd.
The event is completely free to attend and is open to all.
