E G Carter & Co Named as one of Homes England’s Preferred Partners

Family business E G Carter & Co Ltd are delighted to be amongst the first 66 firms to be appointed to Homes England’s new delivery partner list.

Up to £20bn of residential development is expected to be delivered through the new Delivery Partner Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS). It replaces the £8bn Delivery Partner Panel 3 (DPP3), which expired in July. Approved businesses can apply to develop sites managed by Homes England. Unlike the DPP3 framework, new firms can be added to the DPS at any time. It is the biggest procurement exercise the department has undertaken to date.

Homes England chief land and development officer Stephen Kinsella said the flexibility of the new system would attract more builders. He said: “We’ve also simplified the application process so whether you’re a large nationwide housebuilder or a small local developer, it will be easier for you to access land you want to build on. We encourage all housebuilders interested in working with us to monitor our recently updated Land Hub and apply to join the DPS when they see a site of interest.”

E G Carter & Co Ltd are a local family-owned Company with a turnover of £80M and have been trading for over 76 years with the fourth generation of the Carter family at the helm.

The Company delivers a comprehensive range of building and construction services throughout the Midlands, South and South West.

Peter Burrows, Director at E G Carter & Co Ltd said “E G Carter & Co Ltd are delighted to be appointed to the Homes England Delivery Partner Dynamic Purchasing System and are looking forward to a proactive and successful working relationship with Homes England.”
