Where family leaders grow together.

What is the FBL Forum?

At the heart of every family business lies a delicate balance between legacy and innovation, emotion and logic, family values and commercial ambition.

The Family Business Leadership Forum has been created as a trusted peer group where leaders of multi-generational firms can step away from day-to-day pressures and connect with others who truly understand the unique dynamics of running a family enterprise.

A Safe Space for Growth and Connection

In this safe, confidential environment, business owners find the freedom to share experiences, tackle challenges, and gain fresh perspectives — from succession planning and strategic growth to navigating complex family relationships.

Rooted in The Family Business Community’s ethos of helping leaders “see through the emotional and rational challenges,” the Forum offers not just insight but also solidarity — a place where candid conversations spark clarity and where shared journeys become shared strength.

What It Is

The Family Leadership Forum is a peer-to-peer group facilitated by experts in family business alongside specialist key-note speakers each month.

It’s designed to support both personal and business growth, encouraging collaboration and cooperation so that every member benefits from the collective experience and wisdom in the room.

We aim to foster a think tank environment — a supportive, non-judgemental space where members can openly share dilemmas, issues, and opinions.

The Structure

The Forum meets monthly (with a break in July and August) for a total of nine sessions each year, held regionally to build knowledge and local connections.

A typical session includes:

Check-In:

Members sign in, share how the business is performing, and identify any issues they’d like advice or input on.

Expert Speaker:

A presentation from an industry expert on a topic of significance and interest.

Lunch Break:

A relaxed opportunity to connect and network.

Group Discussion:

A collaborative session addressing real-time challenges and dilemmas raised by members.

Action Planning & Reflection:

Each member leaves with clarity and actionable steps for both personal and business
growth.
