Hawkshead Relish is a true Cumbrian success story and will be using their huge wealth of experience to help judge and sponsor the North West Family Business Awards once again for 2022.
The prestigious Awards are a real calendar highlight for many and celebrate the best businesses, employers and employees in the North West family business sector.
As well as sponsoring this prestigious event, co-founder Maria Whitehead will be joining the main judging panel and they will also be hosting our wonderful host for the awards evening, Nigel Barden.
After starting their family business in 1999, this popular brand now exports to over 12 countries around the globe, retails to over 500 specialist outlets across the UK, makes products for a number of leading food businesses and chefs and employs 31 staff; including the next generation of business leaders – their daughters.
Family is at the core of all that they do but that doesn’t mean to say that they look inward… Over the years they have worked towards a more collaborative approach to business. An approach that is much more than just working together, it’s a strategic choice too and this insight makes Hawkshead Relish a fantastic addition to our judging panel.
Speaking about the awards, Maria says:
“I am thrilled and honoured to be asked to help judge these prestigious awards, over the last few years the Family Business Network has been an integral part of our growth and succession plan. These awards recognise the achievements of amazing Family Businesses in our region and are held in high esteem by the business community as a whole”
Founder and co-director of the Family Business Network, Sue Howorth said: “A big thank you to Maria, Mark and everyone at Hawkshead Relish for supporting us once again, their business experience as a family business is second to none so we really are delighted to welcome them once again.”
Co-Director of the Family Business Network Dave Clarkson added: “Our sponsors and judges really do make the Awards an outstanding, unique, business awards event. As we are, they feel passionately about raising the profile of family businesses, and celebrating what they achieve for their customers, their employees and the UK’s economy.
With our returning host for the evening, food writer and presenter Nigel Barden, we look forward to celebrating at the iconic Titanic Hotel, Liverpool.”
