The latest donation from family business Swansway Group to charitable organisation Circus Starr has been announced. The group have donated £2,980 through the sale of Motability vehicles across their 17 Motability dealerships.
The donation will go towards tickets to a Circus Starr show for families with disabled, disadvantaged and vulnerable children. These tickets are sent to children and their families through a network of hospices, schools, hospitals, regional branches of national charities and support groups; families can also apply direct to Circus Starr. Without generous donations like this from Swansway Group, some families may not get to enjoy a fun-filled day out together.
Sarah Hall, Communications and Engagement Manager at Circus Starr commented: “The global pandemic really hit us hard and we missed out on a whole year of putting smiles on the faces of so many children and their families. We have just completed our first tour back since March 2020 and we couldn’t be happier. This latest donation from Swansway Group will help us to continue bringing smiles to faces up and down the country next year and we really can’t wait”.
David Smyth, Swansway Group Director said: “The last few months have been tough in the motor trade. Stock supply issues have been affecting our ability to fulfil new car orders, particularly for those on the Motability Scheme. Nonetheless, we’re extremely pleased to be able to support Circus Starr with donations like this one and long may it continue”.
Circus Starr have just wrapped up their summer tour and will be returning in January 2022 with their kick-off show in Cambridge. Find a Circus Starr 2022 show near you.
Circus Starr Clown, Chico commented: “After a crazy few months it has been wonderful to perform for Circus Starr again! Seeing how all of the children react to the show is amazing, so thank you to Swansway for helping to make it possible.”
