Privately-owned housing developer Story Homes has been awarded a five-star customer satisfaction rating by leading bodies in the housebuilding industry.

The results from the national new homes customer satisfaction survey – carried out by the Home Builders Federation (HBF) and the National House Building Council (NHBC) – confirm that Story Homes has received a five-star satisfaction rating, meaning more than nine in 10 customers would recommend the builder to a friend.

The 2021 joint survey from the HBF and NHBC is the industry benchmark for customer service and saw more than 76,000 surveys sent out to new build purchasers across the UK.

The survey of house builders was launched in 2005 and is a self-completion census distributed to buyers of new build homes. Survey results are published annually in March each year.

Across the entire industry, the overall score for the key question ‘Would you recommend your builder to a friend?’  has improved for a fourth consecutive year – a period over which housing supply has continued to increase significantly.

In addition to this impressive result, Story Homes has achieved a further accolade for customer service from ‘In-house’ – the customer satisfaction research body for the residential property sector.

The builder has received a ‘Gold’ rating from In-house after more than 94% of customers said they would recommend the housebuilder, as part of a separate national survey.
