The organisers behind the successful North West Family Business Awards, The Family Business Network are hosting a virtual celebratory evening on 28th January to relive some of the magic from NWFBA2020 and bring those involved in the event, along with the wider community, back together.
The event will be hosted by Lancashire-born food writer and broadcaster, Nigel Barden along with Co-Directors of The Family Business Network, Sue Howorth and Dave Clarkson. Nigel also hosted the glittering inaugural North West Family Business Awards last March, held under the wings of Concorde at Manchester Airport.
Dave Clarkson of The Family Business Network said, “’One More Time’ will be an evening of online celebration, reunions, storytelling, catching up with friends and maybe even some dancing!”
During the evening, guests will be treated to music from fiddle player Richard Sanderson, who famously entertained the audience at the NWFBA in 2020.
“Whilst the evening will be the perfect chance to recap some of the highlights from last years Awards, it will be more than that”, explains Sue Howorth of The Family Business Network.
“We wanted to bring the North West family business community and its supporters back together in a more personal way.”
“The family business sector is a very supportive and close-knit community of people and businesses, many of whom have found their lives change dramatically since the Awards were held in March 2020. Some of us are busy juggling work and home schooling, some have had to make huge changes to their businesses but all of us have been affected in one way or another.”
“The evening will give everyone a chance to reflect on the last few months and to share stories, highs and lows.”
“So much has happened in the world since last March! It only feels like yesterday when I watch the Awards highlights video but at the same time, it feels like a lifetime ago.”
A date for the 2021 North West Family Business Awards has not yet been announced due to the pandemic, however the organisers have said the next Awards will be held live rather than an online format.
In the meantime, those interested in applying for NWFBA2021 can register their interest via the website so that when the time comes, they can be informed of all the details.
Dave Clarkson added, “We hope that Thursday evening will give everyone involved a much-needed interim pick-me-up and a chance to reinvigorate themselves with some of that unique vibrancy that surrounds our Awards.”
“We really look forward to seeing familiar, and perhaps some new faces later this week”.
