As confidence builds, family businesses are planning for the future, says recruitment company.

This has been the findings of FamBiz Recruitment partner, NXT Recruitment in the past couple of months!

During the pandemic, NXT worked with family businesses initially to fill temporary and fixed term contracts alongside with providing general HR support and advice, but more recently they have reported seeing a rise in permanent recruitment.

They put this down to businesses feeling more secure and able to plan more effectively for their changing needs.

Jason Hodgson, Recruitment Director said, “Many family businesses have gone through some kind of restructure or diversification by way of introducing new services and products. This has given them the opportunity to look at the direction in which they want the business to grow and hence we’ve had lots of calls regarding new roles and expanding departments, particularly in digital marketing, IT, finance, logistics and supply chain.”

Much of the time, the need has arisen from a skills gap where the business has diversified and requires specialist expertise at a senior level that don’t currently exist within the company.
